Perhaps one of the greatest attributes of life in Katowice is that you just never now what you'll stumble upon.

While out for an adventure Saturday, our several miles of walking throughout the city came to a halt when we happened upon an airshow at the small hobby airport close to our house. While I usually watch the planes from the comfort of my balcony, this time we were able to watch them right along side the grassy runway strip.

A show full of aerial acrobatics, helicopters and planes whipping into donuts at landing - all set to a stage of live music - the afternoon hours just "flew" right by..!
